Role Purpose
Drive scientific readiness across priority Global Development programs by translating disease, mechanism, and protocol rationale into high-impact learning that improves study startup, site engagement, data quality, and patient continuity.
Based in India, this role supports multiple therapeutic areas globally, working in close partnership with other Knowledge & Learning Managers to ensure scientific learning is consistent, scalable, and locally relevant. The position acts as a performance partner to clinical teams, ensuring the science behind the protocol is understood, adopted, and applied across diverse study environments.
Key Accountabilities
Program Ownership
Lead end-to-end design, delivery, and continuous improvement of protocol/scientific learning across assigned programs and studies.
Collaborate with Global Study Leads, Medical Directors, Clinical Operations, Site Engagement, Biostatistics, and Quality teams.
Contribute to global learning consistency while ensuring regional relevance and scientific accuracy.
Scientific Content & Enablement
Develop disease-state, mechanism-of-action, and protocol rationale narratives that connect scientific objectives, endpoints, inclusion/exclusion criteria, and operational considerations to the biology and patient journey.
Create modular learning assets (e.g., scenario-based modules, microlearning, facilitator guides, site one-pagers, decision trees).
Translate complex scientific content into usable learning and performance tools for CRAs, site staff, and study teams.
Cross-Therapeutic and Regional Support
Support multiple therapeutic areas and global studies with tailored learning aligned to regional and cultural contexts.
Serve as a regional focal point for scientific learning needs in JAPAC, while collaborating with global peers to maintain consistency and quality.
Knowledge Management
Maintain version-controlled, searchable repositories of scientific learning (e.g., Klarity, Share Point, One Note, LMS).
Ensure compliance with governance, approvals, and documentation standards (Medical, QA, Legal, Privacy).
Measurement & Insights
Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as learning completion, confidence levels, protocol deviations, query rates, and startup cycle times.
Use feedback loops and analytics to inform continuous improvement and impact measurement.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
Facilitate scientific and learning workshops with internal and external partners.
Oversee SOWs and ensure quality, scientific rigor, and instructional excellence.
Change & Communications
Create communication and change management plans to support adoption of new learning methods and digital tools.
Coaching & Community
Coach SMEs and facilitators in evidence-based learning practices.
Contribute to Communities of Practice across the Knowledge & Learning network to foster innovation and best practice sharing.
Basic Qualifications
Doctorate degree with 6+ years OR
Master’s degree with 8+ years of experience OR
Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience OR
At least 6 or more years of experience in clinical research, clinical operations, or scientific training.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Strong facilitation, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills; systems thinking and design mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting global clinical trials or scientific education across regions.
Familiarity with role-based or scenario-based learning methods.
Ability to work effectively across time zones and cultures.
Proficiency in collaboration tools (LMS, Share Point/One Drive, authoring tools) and strong data literacy for KPI tracking.
Travel:
Up to 10% for global workshops, site engagement sessions, and stakeholder meetings.
