ABOUT THE ROLERole Description

We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and enthusiastic Principal Business Analyst for the Warehouse Management capability teams within the Operations Digital, Technology & Innovation (OPS DTI) group to support the Global Supply Chain business organization. We are embarking on our journey to improve the Warehousing at Amgen and are implementing SAP Extended Warehouse Management System (SAP S/4) as well as ASRS (Automatic Storage and Retrieval System) as part of advancing strategic capabilities within Amgen’s Supply Chain to enable digitalization, faster decision making & speed to/in market. As the Warehouse Management Business Analyst, you will work closely with the functional and technology stakeholders at each stage of the development lifecycle to build and sustain the best fitting technology solutions using Agile and Scrum methodologies.

This role will be critical in our path of transformation to have a best-in-class solutions in Order to Cash space e.g. Transportation Management capability, Extended Warehouse Management and overall S/4 HANA and you will be leveraging a portfolio of systems like SAP, Rapid Response/Kinaxis, Data Lake, Control Tower and Project44.

Must-Have Skills

• Work closely and lead discussions with stakeholders to elicit information in order to understand true business needs as User Stories

• Exhibit business process expertise in overall Order to Cash End to End and specifically in Warehouse Management.

• Lead and support the analysis, solution, design, and estimation of various projects and backlog items that address business problems

• Experience with SAP ECC, SAP WM and SAP EWM

• Understand technology strategy and help develop business case alternatives which anticipate the future direction of the business

Basic Qualifications

• Master’s degree OR Bachelor’s degree with 12 - 17 years of experience in Business, Engineering, IT or related field

• Must be flexible and able to manage multiple activities and priorities with minimal direction in a rapidly changing and demanding environment.

• Exceptional collaboration, communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage stakeholder relationships and build new partnerships.

• Ability to develop clear and detailed business requirements and design specifications that can be understood by other delivery teams and business partners

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work and facilitate alignment across functional boundaries and multiple global geographies

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Experience in business process re-engineering or process improvement, involving broad-based information systems, utilizing tools and techniques to effect business change

• Ability to understand business strategy and needs and support the translation into application requirements

• Ability to create compelling business cases balancing business benefits and costs

• Understands business complexity and project interdependencies

• Intellectual curiosity and the ability to question thought partners across functional areas

• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations

• Strong understanding of basic system engineering, information risk and security guidelines and architecture standards

• Team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus

This role requires a shift time of 2PM-10PM IST
