Sr Associate Software Engineer, Manufacturing Data & Analytics

What you will do:

In this vital role you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications and solutions that meet business needs and ensuring the availability and performance of critical systems and applications. This role involves working closely with product owners, designers, data engineers, and other engineers to create high-quality, scalable software solutions and automating operations, monitoring system health, and responding to incidents to minimize downtime.

• Possesses strong rapid prototyping skills and can quickly translate concepts into working code

• Contribute to both front-end and back-end development using cloud technology

• Develop innovative solution using generative AI technologies

• Ensure code quality and consistency to standard methodologies

• Create and maintain documentation on software architecture, design, deployment, disaster recovery, and operations

• Identify and resolve technical challenges effectively

• Work closely with product team, business team, and other collaborators

• Design, develop, and implement applications and modules, including custom reports, interfaces, and enhancements

• Analyze and understand the functional and technical requirements of applications, solutions and systems and translate them into software architecture and design specifications

• Develop and implement unit tests, integration tests, and other testing strategies to ensure the quality of the software

• Identify and resolve software bugs and performance issues

• Work closely with multi-functional teams, including product management, design, and QA, to deliver high-quality software on time

• Customize modules to meet specific business requirements

• Work on integrating with other systems and platforms to ensure seamless data flow and functionality

• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for applications, ensuring that they operate smoothly and efficiently

• Communicate design ideas and prototypes clearly to key customers and team members.

• Stay updated with the latest design trends and techniques to ensure the best software development.

• Adapt to a fast-paced environment and learn new tools and methods quickly.

• Innovate, explore, and implement new tools and technologies to enhance efficient user experience design.

• Proactively identify and implement opportunities to automate tasks and develop reusable frameworks.

• Work in an Agile and Scaled Agile (SAFe) environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams, product owners, and Scrum Masters to deliver incremental value.

• Use JIRA, Confluence, and Agile DevOps tools to manage sprints, backlogs, and user stories.

• Support continuous improvement, test automation, and DevOps practices in the user experience design lifecycle.

• Collaborate and communicate effectively with product teams and cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

• Any degree and 5 to 9 years of Computer Science, IT or related field experience

Must-Have Skills:

• Solid understanding and experience in cloud computing principles, particularly within the AWS ecosystem, understand pros and cons of various services in well architected cloud design principles.

• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, along with popular front-end frameworks like React (preferred) or Angular, is required to build interactive and responsive web applications

• Proficiency in Python/Py Spark development, Fast API, Databricks, DevOps Tools, CI/CD, Data Ingestion.

• In-depth knowledge of data engineering concepts, ETL processes, and data architecture principles.

• Experienced with API integration, serverless, microservices architecture.

• Candidates should be able to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.

• Experience with software engineering best practices, including version control (Git, Subversion, etc.), CI/CD (Jenkins, Maven, etc.), automated unit testing, and DevOps

• Ability to quickly learn, adapt, and apply new technologies.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Agile delivery practices, and DevOps practices.

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with AI assisted code development using tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code.

• Experience in biotechnology or pharma industry.

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk)

Education and Professional Certifications:

• AWS Certified Cloud, Data Engineer, Developer or Solutions Architect preferred

• Databricks Certificate preferred

• Scaled Agile SAFe certification preferred
