ABOUT THE ROLE

Role Description: The Sr Full Stack Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications and solutions that meet business needs and ensuring the availability and performance of critical systems and applications. This role involves working closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to create high-quality, scalable software solutions and automating operations, monitoring system health, and responding to incidents to minimize downtime.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Lead full-stack web-based application development for various components of our Sensing Capability.

• Lead a team of programmers while also willing to jump in and do programming/code reviews etc. based on project demands. Hands on programming is expected.

• Take ownership of complex software projects from conception to deployment.

• Manage software delivery scope, risk, and timeline.

• Possess strong rapid prototyping skills and can quickly translate concepts into working code.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.

• Contribute to both front-end and back-end development using cloud technology.

• Develop innovative solutions using generative AI technologies.

• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.

• Create and maintain documentation on software architecture, design, deployment, disaster recovery, and operations.

• Identify and resolve technical challenges effectively.

• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements.

• Work closely with product team, business team, and other stakeholders.

• Design, develop, and implement applications and modules, including custom reports, interfaces, and enhancements.

• Analyze and understand the functional and technical requirements of applications, solutions, and systems and translate them into software architecture and design specifications.

• Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and other testing strategies to ensure the quality of the software.

• Identify and resolve software bugs and performance issues.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and QA, to deliver high-quality software on time.

• Maintain detailed documentation of software designs, code, and development processes.

• Customize modules to meet specific business requirements.

• Work on integrating with other systems and platforms to ensure seamless data flow and functionality.

• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for applications, ensuring that they operate smoothly and efficiently.

Basic Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree with 4 - 6 years of experience in Computer Science, IT or related field OR

• Bachelor’s degree with 6 - 8 years of experience in Computer Science, IT or related field OR

• Diploma with 10 - 12 years of experience in Computer Science, IT or related field

Functional Skills:

• Strong knowledge of information systems and network technologies.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript preferred or other programming languages.

• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.

• Experience with version control systems like Git.

• Hands-on experience with various cloud services, understanding pros and cons of various cloud services in well-architected cloud design principles.

• Hands-on experience with Full Stack software development. Proficient in programming languages Python (preferred), JavaScript, SQL/NoSQL.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; Ability to learn quickly; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Experienced with API integration, serverless, microservices architecture.

• Experience in SQL/NoSQL database, vector database for large language models.

• Experience with popular large language models.

• Experience with Langchain or llama Index framework for language models; Experience with prompt engineering, model fine-tuning.

• Experience with website development, understanding of website localization processes, which involve adapting content to fit cultural and linguistic contexts.

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

• Experience with modern front-end frameworks and libraries (e.g., React, Node.js), and expertise in building responsive and user-friendly UIs.

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk).

• Experience with data processing tools like Hadoop, Spark, or similar.

Professional Certifications:

• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CompTIA Network+, or MCSE (preferred).

Soft Skills:

• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively with global, virtual teams.

• High degree of initiative and self-motivation.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities successfully.

Shift Information: This position requires you to work a later shift and may be assigned a second or third shift schedule. Candidates must be willing and able to work during evening or night shifts, as required based on business requirements.
