About The Position
The Supervisor, Technical Training – Maintenance directs job tasks, work processes, and assesses learning needs primarily related, but not limited to, Maintenance job classifications in Fossil, Combustion Turbine, and Hydro generation.
**Key responsibilities include:
- Effectively supervise, develop, and hold accountable a team of Instructors, mostly assigned to, but not limited to, the DRC
- Manage annual department budget of approximately $400,000+ and make recommendations on both major & minor purchases required to facilitate training
- Order and maintain sufficient stockpiles of parts and materials to effectively deliver maintenance training
- Lead and maintain the highest standards in the development, implementation, consistency, and assessment of maintenance training for all Ameren Missouri generation facilities
- Administer and apply all relevant bargaining unit contractual agreements relevant to Power Operations' maintenance apprenticeships and journeyman update training.
- Effectively develop and deliver maintenance apprenticeship and refresher training and new equipment/update training through various methods as required by accepted training standards and in compliance with procedure AUE-1810 and the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT)
- Administer the Maintenance Journeyman testing program
- Effectively manage all records associated with maintenance apprenticeships and Journeyman training/testing
- Effectively create, implement, and manage the apprentice training schedule through collaborative communication with all Energy Centers
- Routinely monitor and revise training content as needed to ensure the most up-to-date information, processes, and training methods are being utilized
- Work closely with customers and other learning stakeholders to assess and deliver training in the most efficient and effective manner possible
- Perform special assignments and participate on and /or lead project teams in which his/her knowledge and skills can be leveraged.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (e.g. engineering) from an accredited college or university preferred. Five or more years of experience either working in or with Energy Center maintenance required. Three or more years of experience developing and/or delivering adult technical training required. Three or more years of supervisory or project leadership experience required (i.e. Training Supervisor, Instructional Designer, Energy Center Maintenance Supervisor, etc.). Comp Tia Certified Technical Trainer (CTT+) certification or other professional training certification preferred.
In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Very strong leadership, organization, decision-making, and inter-personal skills. Proven ability to successfully manage and direct multiple complex tasks with and/or projects with varying priorities and meet all associated deadlines. Ability to travel to all Power Operations facilities on a regular or intermittent basis. Proven ability to provide outstanding customer service. Proficiency in Microsoft applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio) and a thorough understanding and ability to use learning management tools such as Insight, Question Mark, and Lesson Wizard.
Compensation Range:
$111,100.00 - $172,200.00
At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
