THE ROLE:

AMD's Physical AI and Vertical Software & Solutions team is seeking a Physical AI Technical Partner Lead to drive technical enablement for AMD's expanding partner ecosystem in China. In this high-impact role, you will serve as the technical bridge between AMD and external partners—including solution scaling partners, outsourced partners, universities, research labs, and the Physical AI developer community.

You will be responsible for ensuring that partners can successfully build, optimize, and deploy Physical AI solutions on AMD platforms. This role combines deep technical expertise with relationship-building skills to accelerate AMD's Physical AI ecosystem across China.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Partner Technical Enablement:

• Lead technical engagements with solution scaling partners, outsourced partners, and research institutions to enable Physical AI workloads (robotics, automotive, vision-language-action models, multi-modal inference) on AMD platforms
• Provide hands-on technical guidance for partner integration, optimization, and deployment of AMD-based Physical AI solutions

Physical AI Ecosystem Development:

• Identify and cultivate new ecosystem partners across China, including universities, research labs, startups, and established solution providers
• Build and maintain long-term technical relationships with key players in China's Physical AI, automotive and robotics ecosystem
• Participate in ecosystem forums, technical conferences, and regional events to promote AMD's Physical AI capabilities
• Create and promote win-win technical collaboration models with ecosystem partners

Developer Community Engagement:

• Enable and support the Physical AI developer community in China through technical training, workshops, and hands-on labs
• Develop technical content including whitepapers, application notes, reference designs, and training materials tailored to the China developer audience
• Provide technical presentations and demonstrations at community events, universities, and partner sites
• Gather and channel partner/community feedback to AMD's engineering and product teams to influence roadmap and product enhancements

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with AMD sales, marketing, and business development teams to align technical enablement with business objectives
• Partner with product management to translate market requirements into actionable technical programs and product roadmap
• Coordinate with AMD's global Physical AI teams to ensure China ecosystem priorities are represented
• Bridge communication between Chinese partners and AMD's international engineering organizations

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Technical Expertise

• 15+ years of experience in software development, systems engineering, customer or partner-facing technical roles
• Deep understanding of AI/LLM deployment and familiarity with physical AI workloads.
• Knowledge of AI frameworks: Py Torch, Tensor Flow, ONNX Runtime, vLLM
• Experience with Android, Linux system software, embedded Linux, and edge inference platforms

Ecosystem & Partner Engagement:

• Proven track record of enabling external partners (ODMs, OEMs, solution providers, research institutions)
• Experience delivering technical training, workshops, or developer programs
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences (developers, researchers, executives) and translating market requirement into technical requirement.

Leadership & Soft Skills:

• Software Engineering management and customer support experience
• Proven ability to drive sophisticated technical initiatives independently
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills in a matrixed environment
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in both English and Mandarin
• Analytical mindset with ability to synthesize complex technical and operational issues
• Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments
• Ability to influence and build trusted relationships with partners and internal stakeholders

Education:

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field
