THE ROLE:

This position inside the AMD Strategic Silicon Solutions BU to lead the post silicon validation execution in variant regions (Malaysia, China, US and Canada). Seeking a candidate with semiconductor experience especially in Post Silicon validation.

THE PERSON:

This role demands extensive post silicon technical experience, problem-solving abilities, strong self-learning and good communicate skills. You will lead team members to collaborate with customer, internal Silicon design, HW design team, SW team and other function team on new technology implement, test case development, execution and issue analysis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with global leaders to drive successful productization for ASICs executed in different regions. This includes planning, hands-on execution, prioritizing and issue resolving.
  • Enhance collaborations across teams inside and outside organization.
  • Drive decision making around conflicting priorities and complex issue resolution
  • Build and grow relationships with key stakeholders including silicon design, software development, program management, system engineering, business units and customer engineering teams
  • Focus on team growth from both technical and leadership point of view
  • Support and interface with customer engineering teams and customers are required
  • Communicate status to senior management and other relevant stakeholders

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • ASIC post silicon experience including product & system validation, characterization, or board design
  • Strong technical background in PC/Server systems and graphics
  • Strong technical knowledge for variant type of System Level Validation (Unit level, Integrity Level and System Level)
  • Excellent communication skills, demonstrated success in working across geographies and cross functional teams
  • Proven skills in driving organizational change
  • Script or coding (Python, C, Perl, Ruby) capability is a strong plus, automation and validation farm experience is a strong plus.
  • Process improvement experience a plus.
  • Server product knowledge and hands-on experience is good a plus.
  • 10+ years of work experience preferred.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • B.Sc. Or Master’s Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering.
