AMD is seeking a strategic and highly autonomous Industry Analyst Relations (IAR) Manager to join our global IAR team. Industry analysts are critical partners in strengthening AMD’s reputation, shaping market perception, and influencing key business decisions—particularly across the commercial and enterprise segments.
This role operates with a high degree of ownership, judgment, and trust. The IAR Manager will serve as both strategist and tactician, owning end‑to‑end analyst relations programs that educate and influence key analysts, shape perspectives on AMD’s portfolio and differentiation, and systematically translate external insights into internal business impact. Working cross‑functionally with business units, marketing, sales, strategy, executive leadership, and communications, this role ensures analyst engagement directly informs portfolio strategy, go‑to‑market decisions, competitive positioning, and executive decision‑making.
THE PERSON
The ideal candidate is a confident, insight‑driven leader who thrives in ambiguity and operates effectively with senior stakeholders. You bring strong executive presence, sound judgment, and the ability to connect complex market signals to clear strategic actions. You are intellectually curious, highly organized, decisive, and comfortable challenging conventional thinking when data and insight warrant it.
You combine strong relationship‑building skills with analytical rigor and are motivated by influencing outcomes at scale across a complex, matrixed organization.

-
Serve as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, setting clear expectations on IAR impact, timelines, and resourcing while ensuring alignment across teams.
-
Leverage AI‑enabled tools and data sources to analyze analyst research, inquiry trends, and market signals, translating insights into strategic recommendations.
-
Partner cross‑functionally to integrate analyst insights into portfolio strategy, competitive intelligence, go‑to‑market planning, and executive reporting.
-
Lead analyst engagement and relationship management, serving as a primary point of contact and driving meaningful, long‑term partnerships.
-
Design and manage analyst education programs, including briefings, onsite engagements, and industry events, to build awareness of AMD’s strategy, roadmap, and differentiation.
-
Influence accurate and compelling representation of AMD in analyst research to support commercial credibility and validation.
-
Define success metrics and reporting frameworks to demonstrate IAR business impact and enable continuous improvement.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
-
Proven experience leading B2B industry analyst relations and/or strategic communications programs with measurable business impact.
-
Direct experience managing analyst relationships with firms such as Gartner, IDC, and Forrester.

-
Established track record of building trusted, long‑term relationships with industry analysts and influencers.
-
Experience counseling senior executives and functional leaders on analyst engagement strategy and messaging.
-
Strong executive presence and comfort working cross‑functionally with product, marketing, sales, strategy, communications, and leadership teams.
-
Working knowledge of AI technologies and tools, with hands‑on experience applying them to improve insight synthesis, reporting, and decision‑making.
-
Ability to distill complex technical and market information into clear, compelling narratives.
-
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and drive work forward with minimal direction.
-
Passion for technology and a strong understanding of the enterprise and commercial technology landscape.
