We are looking for an adaptive, self-motivative Software engineer to join our growing team. As a member of the front-end design integration/verification Tools & Methodologies team, you will work closely with the Architecture, IP design, SOC, and product engineers to achieve first pass silicon success.

THE PERSON:

Candidate should be passionate about software engineering, should have good communication, problem-solving skills and is willing to learn and ready to take on problems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work on internal software tools to develop, test new features & deploy them across AMD projects.
• Collaborate closely with IP and SOC teams to deliver solutions that work for them.
• Support IP and SOC teams on the methodologies, tool/flows, provide debug support and resolve queries.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of future architecture for a highly scalable, durable, and innovative system.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• BS with 5+ or MS with 3+ years of Experience in software design and development role.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• SOFTWARE:

• Strong development experience in C/C++

• Should have good understanding on Data Structure and Algorithms.

• Should have experience in writing test case scenarios and test case development.

• Should have good debugging skills and hands on GDB or similar debug tools.

• Should have experience with one of the version control systems (eg:GIT/PERFORCE)

• Should understand file formats like (JSON/YAML/XML)

• Should have hands on experience with LINUX, Shell Scripting and Knowledge of Reg Ex is good to have.

• Good to have CI/CD knowledge.

• Good understanding of scripting language like Perl, Python or Ruby.

• Familiarity with System Verilog and IPXACT will be beneficial

• DOMAIN:

• Understanding of HDL languages like VERILOG/VHDL is a big plus.

• Soft skills:

• Must have good communication skills and the ability and desire to foster a team environment.

• Person will interact with multiple teams across global AMD sites

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering
