The Industrial Design team is seeking a talented and passionate Industrial Designer in China to support our Industrial Design and Development team. This designer will be directly responsible for applying our design standards related to cosmetic standards, color, material and finish on our products; from concept approval to implementation. This includes understanding process and technology, and the use of master standards for a wide selection of materials and processes and a close cooperation with the designers, development teams and vendors during the implementation phases. This designer will work collaboratively within a team of designers, CMF team, manufacture process engineers and program managers to develop world-class consumer electronics solutions.
Successful candidates will apply critical, interdisciplinary thinking to support the transition of products from initial manufacturing through approval of mass production. This designer will possess an exceptional eye for detail and must embrace a highly iterative approach to process and implementation while keeping abreast of the latest technologies and industry trends. Additionally, this designer must be articulate and possess the communication skills to convey requirements and specifications to external suppliers and internal Materials and Processes teams.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering
- 4+ years related experience in the field of consumer electronics design and manufacture, familiar with whole development process from front design to production.
- Understanding of finishing processes and manufacturing in the field of consumer electronics.
- Experience in developing and using master standards for cosmetics, colors, material and finishes.
- Demonstrated experience developing and using quality assurance standards, Set up cosmetic specifications and limits for defects that impact product quality or user experience.
- Provide leadership with development teams and supply chain driving design intent and premium product quality requirements.
- Great English communication skills: verbal and written.
- Team work and travels for both domestic and international.
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent understanding of fundamental design disciplines and principles,
- Great ability to manage ambiguity, work autonomously and multi-task in an agile environment.
- Rich experience in consumer electronics and varied manufacturing processes.
- Huge desire for the cutting-edge technology, advance process, material and finish.
- Proven teamwork ability across design, engineering and suppliers.
- Demonstrated drive and confidence, comprehensive thinking and make decision independently
