Position: HW Commodity Specialist II - AMZ8876.11
Location: Austin, TX
Multiple Positions Available:
1. Oversee and coordinate a multi-discipline division of work related to supplier technical drawing and specification approval process for power and cooling equipment for Amazon critical infrastructure.
2. Manage supplier relations and performance as it relates to supplier technical drawing and specification approvals.
3. Track the supplier drawing and specification approval life cycle to secure design approvals in a timely manner.
4. Support suppliers and internal stakeholders involved in the construction and commissioning of various systems including medium and low voltage power systems, Generators, UPS, HVAC and transformers.
5. Collaborate with people across AWS to help deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers
6. Manage internal and external stakeholder communication and provide status updates on projects and deliverables related to supplier technical drawing and specification approval activities.
7. Monitor existing metrics as well as develop and propose new metrics to provide actionable data to critical business stakeholders as it relates to supplier drawing and specification approval process management.
(40 hours / week, 8:00am-5:00pm, Salary Range $95909 - $139100)

Basic Qualifications
A Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline and three year of experience in a related occupation.
In the alternative, a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent, in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline followed by 5 progressively responsible years of experience in a related occupation.
Experience must include:
1. 3 year of experience in systems design engineering, program management, global supply chain, or data center operations for creating, iterating, and improving global supply chain, ERP systems or business intelligence tools.
2. 3 year of experience in qualitative/quantitative data analysis and business modeling to support business decision-making using SQL, Excel and internal data warehousing tools.
3. 3 year of project management experience leading successful global cross-functional initiative
4. 1 year of experience analyzing cost/benefit of proposed projects.
5. 1 year of experience in procurement or purchasing.
