Amazon is seeking a Manager, Public Policy to develop and execute high-visibility activities that enable the Public Policy team to engage government officials, community organizations, or equivalent participants at Amazon facilities. You will identify opportunities that align business priorities with public policy goals and advance those objectives by developing strategic content, facilitating execution, and preparing materials, such as briefing documents and talking points. To cultivate effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, you will influence others using strong interpersonal skills, high judgement, and political acumen.
This position will be based in Arlington, VA.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 5+ years of professional experience in strategizing, planning, executing policy-related events with government officials and agencies, community organizations, companies, trade associations, or equivalent organizations
- An ability and desire to travel is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- 5+ years of relevant public policy and advocacy experience
- Experience in driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to interact with senior professionals effectively and comfortably, including policymakers and senior executives
- Ability to drive team objectives by anticipating needs, thinking critically and creatively, and working collaboratively.
- Strong understanding of government relations, external advocacy, and communication tactics.
- Holds a high level of discretion and professionalism.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
