About the role
The Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) organization collectively represents some of the most critical components of Amazon’s first-class Middle Mile transportation network. Everything we do is aimed at further delighting our customers with faster, cheaper and more efficient means of receiving packages. We are building an exciting, new business in this space and seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Analyst to join our team in Seattle. Our ideal candidate is someone who loves learning, building a new business and the ambiguity that comes with that, challenging the status quo and keeping up with constantly evolving problems and technologies. If you enjoy innovating, thinking big and want to contribute directly to the success of an industry changing business, you may be a prime candidate for this position.

- Key job responsibilities
- Assist in designing, developing and delivering a scalable set of tools that enable a seamless data exploration and analytics experience for our internal stakeholders.
- Prototype applications and services that assist in automating or providing greater visibility into a range of operational processes.
- Apply data mining and quantitative analysis to understand how our customers interact with us and identify the best way to improve the customer experience and meet our goals.
- Acquire various data sources to enable holistic analysis at a global level
- Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience
- 3+ years of business or financial analysis experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
- Experience with Excel
- Experience with SQL
- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of business analyst, data analyst or similar role experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
