Amazon is seeking an income Tax Analyst to join its State & Local Direct Tax team in Hyderabad, India. The Amazon Tax Department is a fast-paced, team-focused, and dynamic environment. This position will be responsible for preparing US state income tax filings, as well as other tax projects.

• Key job responsibilities
• Prepare and review state and local income tax returns, state modification calculations, multi-state allocation and apportionment calculations, and calculation and documentation of state credits
• Drive process improvement and automation and technology implementation throughout the income tax compliance process
• Preparation of state estimated tax payment and accrual calculations

Our State and Local Direct tax team is passionate about delivering excellence in tax compliance while fostering innovations. We collaborate across multiple business units to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting while continuously improving our processes through technology adoption.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 2+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
• Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax department

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree
• Technically proficient with strong accounting, analytical, financial modeling and research skills
• Excellent multistate income and franchise compliance and reporting experience
• Return review and Project management experiences
• Organization skills and excellent attention to detail
• Adaptable to work in dynamic environment as a team member
• Self-starter with ability to prioritize tasks and independently define, implement, and manage creation of new processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
