As an Operations Manager (OM) at Amazon Logistics (AMZL), you'll ensure packages move efficiently through our network to reach customers on time. You'll lead teams, drive improvements, and directly impact our delivery experience for millions of customers.

In this role, you'll oversee daily logistics operations at our Heathwood Delivery Station, supervising a team of Shift Managers while reporting to the Site Lead.

- Manage and develop a team of Shift Managers and their associates
- Serve as proxy for the Site Lead when required
- Analyze operational forecasts and determine productivity requirements for the delivery station
- Champion safety programs to maintain a secure environment for all associates and Delivery Service Partners
- Identify and implement process improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies
- Measure shift performance against business metrics and develop action plans to improve operational excellence
- Optimize resource planning and oversee shift patterns managed by direct reports

A day in the life
You'll start your day reviewing previous shift performance data and planning the day ahead with your team. Throughout your shift, you'll conduct floor walks to observe operations, coach Shift Managers, address emerging issues, and implement process improvements. You'll participate in daily operational meetings, analyze metrics, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure service levels are met. Your day includes both strategic planning and hands-on problem-solving to maintain efficient operations.

Amazon Logistics (AMZL) handles 'last mile' delivery in partnership with third-party distribution businesses. Our Delivery Stations have two main operational areas: 'Under The Roof' (UTR) associates who process products for dispatch, and 'On The Road' (OTR) teams who ensure safe and timely delivery to customers. We focus on creative thinking and continuous improvement to deliver millions of packages while providing an exceptional customer experience.
Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of employee and performance management experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience
