We're seeking an exceptional leader to lead our site in Dublin, the team behind the DynamoDB's control plane, metadata and continuous data protection capabilities.

The ideal candidate combines technical depth in distributed systems and databases with strong leadership abilities. You'll be at the forefront of solving complex challenges in:

• Hyper-scale distributed systems
• Global data replication and consistency
• High-availability architecture

Dynamo DB is a part of AWS Utility Computing (UC) which provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience in engineering
• Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment
• Experience in engineering team management
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams
• Experience designing and developing large scale, high-traffic applications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with creating & improving a variety of processes across product types & teams
• Experience in large scale distributed systems
