About the role

We are looking for a Product Marketing Manager (PMM) to join the Amazon Payments Mexico marketing team. In this role, you will serve as the single-threaded owner of marketing execution for one or more payment products within the Amazon Mexico ecosystem. You will be responsible for converting marketing strategy into customer-facing outcomes through hands-on, week-by-week execution across onsite merchandising, promotions, performance reporting, and competitive intelligence.

This is a high-ownership, high-velocity role where you will manage the full execution lifecycle — from campaign creation and promotional configuration to post-campaign analysis — operating within Amazon's rigorous weekly business review cadence.

Key job responsibilities
Onsite Merchandising
Own all customer-facing placements on Amazon.com.mx including Maple campaigns (High Upsell Cards, Mobile View Cards, Priceblock banners, Wallet placements), DPIC content, Sparkle keyword campaigns, homepage hero banners, and landing pages

Manage creative briefing, review, scheduling coordination, and multi-channel QA across mobile, app, and desktop
Execute large-scale campaign rotations during High-Velocity Events (40+ onsite campaigns and 5–8 landing pages per event)
Configure targeting by card issuer and customer segment

Promotions & Discounts:

Design promotional strategies for assigned payment products and navigate approval workflows with Finance and Legal
Configure promotions in relevant systems (PAWS, IBD coupon architecture, cashback configurations)
Coordinate with up to 14 issuing bank partners on offer structures, communication timing, and shared funding
Maintain a rolling pipeline of promotions planned quarters ahead and deliver post-promotion ROI reporting

Monitoring & Reporting:

Produce weekly flash reports, WBR/MBR data pulls, and monthly deep-dive analyses
Maintain dashboards, detect anomalies, and deliver post-campaign performance reports and QBR inputs
Provide the feedback loop that determines campaign effectiveness, segment conversion, and budget efficiency

Competitive Intelligence
Conduct monthly structured competitive scans covering Mercado Libre, Liverpool, Coppel, major issuing banks, and emerging fintechs
Track feature launches, promotional mechanics, pricing changes, onsite merchandising tactics, and media spend shifts
Deliver intel summaries to the broader team and product partners

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Documentation:

Write campaign briefs, BRDs, 1-pagers, and post-mortem narratives
Participate in weekly syncs with product managers, agency partners, legal/compliance reviews, and team ceremonies
Operate within Amazon's written communication culture and weekly business review cadence

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Speak, write, and read fluently in English
  • 3+ years of stakeholder management experience
  • +8 YOE using data and metrics to drive improvements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using any of SQL or other analytical tools for conducting data analysis
