Are you looking to become a leader in operations strategy for a Fortune 100 company? Amazon is looking for leaders in the space of Network Design & Planning, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Customer Returns, Inventory Planning and Transportation. We need leaders capable of breaking down and solving complex problems for the benefit of over 120 million customers.

Amazon is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to identify, develop and integrate innovative solutions and programs that lead to improvements that redefine the standards for customer experience in our North American transportation network. Amazon transportation encompasses all of the operations that deliver shipments from our fulfillment centers and third party locations to customers worldwide.

As a Supply Chain Manager on the Planning Team, this role will analyze the delivery performance across the North American transportation network, identify improvement opportunities and then take business improvement programs from inception to successful implementation. This involves but is not limited to building stakeholder relationships, addressing transportation network design, and developing innovative programs that drive improvements in our transportation processes.

  • Key job responsibilities
  • Create network plans and validate all individual inputs to ensure planning outputs are built on verified, well-understood stakeholder inputs
  • Manage stakeholders across multiple planning teams operating in distinct networks, each requiring a tailored understanding of their business context
  • Identify standardization and automation opportunities in the planning process, and replicate best practices across teams
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with planning, execution, and finance partners to ensure trusting, productive working relationships
  • Manage communications for internal and external stakeholders on program status, timelines, and deliverables
  • Make key decisions and recommendations concerning strategies and escalations as needed
  • Identify process gaps and opportunities to streamline and automate tasks to reduce overall planning cycle timelines

A day in the life
In a typical day, you might start by reviewing input submissions from Last Mile or Middle Mile partners, validating data accuracy and flagging inconsistencies. You'll collaborate with network design and carrier management teams to align on planning assumptions, then use modeling tools to run scenario analyses for long-term carrier allocation. You'll prepare summaries for senior leadership, participate in cross-functional planning syncs, and work with product teams to refine planning tools. No two days are the same — you'll balance strategic thinking with hands-on data work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

About the team
