Provides leadership and oversight to the order management function. Leads and facilitates strategic improvements within order management operations and with strategic partners. Provides key decision support to the Global distribution team and regional leadership. Oversees and monitors ongoing operations, evaluates supplier performance and works with key stakeholders internally and externally to address and mitigate risk, resolve issues and ensure a broad and shared understanding of order management objectives and priorities.

  • Key job responsibilities
  • Directs the efforts of Team Members in the achievement of Order Management strategic and operational objectives.
  • Provides day-to-day guidance to team and allied internal constituents.
  • Ensures Order Management activity effectively balances short- and long-term, local / regional / national and other strategic priorities.
  • Allocates assignments and resources to facilitate team activity.
  • Cultivates relationships with suppliers, shippers and other key external stakeholders.
  • Leads various Order Management procedures, including:
  • Developing demand forecasts, inventory targets, turnover rates, and order points,
    • Managing supply agreements and contracts,
    • Managing supplier selection and relationships,
    • Verifying inventory receipt and disbursement,
    • Measuring supplier performance, quality, delivery and price,
    • Forecasting and controlling costs.
  • Monitors supplier, market and industry trends to identify challenges, concerns and potential opportunities.
  • Ensures adherence to company principles, values, policies and procedures.

A day in the life

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of previous retail experience
  • Experience in retail
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 4+ years of professional experience
  • 2+ years of leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Speak, write, and read fluently in English

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
