  • Key job responsibilities
  • Drive operational excellence initiatives to define roadmap plans, develop and manage implementation activities.
  • Develop documentation and communications for program/process rollout and ongoing support.
  • Establish channels for continuous feedback and improvement across the organization.
  • Identifying and mitigating potential risks and obstacles by collaborating closely with business partners, key stakeholders, and team members. Ensuring Plan B’s are always in place.
  • Actively seeking out opportunities to optimize processes, reduce inefficiencies, and improve overall performance across the organization
  • Design processes and procedures that scale with the business’ growth in volume, complexity, and global geographic dispersion.
  • Applying tools and techniques from Lean and Six Sigma to streamline processes, eliminate waste, and reduce variation
  • Utilizing data to identify trends, root causes of problems, and measure the impact of improvement initiatives
  • Leading and supporting change initiatives to ensure successful adoption of new processes and practices
  • Working with teams across different departments to identify and implement improvements, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in an indirect procurement function at a multinational corporation
  • Experience managing spend categories that include three or more of the following: IT Software, IT Services, Corporate Services, Marketing, Contingent labor, Facilities and Real estate, Capital Expenditure and Tail Spend (Indirect Categories)
  • Experience with practicing best-in-class procurement processes (category management, benchmarking, should-cost models, RFX, reverse auction, contracting, etc.)
  • 5+ years of business or financial analysis, product costing, procurement, or a quantitative role experience
  • 3+ years of experience leading continuous improvement initiatives, LEAN/Six Sigma, or Kaizen initiatives
  • Expertise in operational excellence methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Lean-Six Sigma Black Belt certification
  • Demonstrated track record of Six Sigma problem-solving and analytical skills, and of achieving results in similar work or operational environments
  • Experience with technology transformation initiatives
  • Experience in procurement, negotiation, sales, consulting, supply chain, product/project management, or marketing

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
