Key job responsibilities
We are looking for a talented, detail-oriented and enthusiastic Software Development Engineer who is passionate about innovation and is enthusiastic about new products and new technology.
As a Software Development Engineer, you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive and design innovative consumer products. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment. You will work closely with the customers, hardware, ODM, and QA teams to take the product from concept to customer release and ensure the highest level of quality for your deliverables. Have in-depth expertise working with the camera, video for consumer devices. In this role, you will:
- Analyze technical requirements, investigate feasible technical solutions, and complete technical design.
- Participate or initiate design and code reviews, technical discussion, software development and documentation.
- Take camera driver, HAL software development and deliver high quality code timely, maintain SW stability and performance.
- Take BSP, Linux kernel, power/thermal, uboot, stability and deliver high quality code timely, maintain SW stability and performance.
- Deep dive and solve difficult issues.
- Collaborate with customers, partners, colleagues, and QA teams to meet project delivery schedule.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- 5+ years of embedded software development experience
- Proficiency in Linux Kernel, boot, stability, power, performance and multiple SOC platforms, including 3+ years working experience in Linux BSP development.
- Knowledge of video processing, Experience with any Camera HAL, kernel drivers, V4L2, Gstreamer.
- Strong technical communication skills with peers and partners.
- Solid hardware knowledge, able to understand hardware design and collaborate with hardware engineers to debug issues.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional experience in Linux kernel, driver, uboot, stability, system performance, etc.
- Solid experience in power management, battery, thermal, etc
- Experience in Linux Yocto will be a plus.
