Position Responsibilities:

Key partner to work closely with the Product teams and WW Engineering to drive customer (AMZL) requirements for implementing various robotics solutions in AMZL. Lead and coordinate design and innovation efforts to develop optimal solutions for the last mile network through equipment specification, material flow, process design, site layout, and intellectual property considerations. Identify process paths to automate based on various factors; labor, cost, safety, performance, etc. Working with Process Engineering and Operations partners. Author business cases to introduce automation to the Delivery Stations network in NA to improve productivity. Define pilot criteria and success metrics to validate prototype units. Collaboration with internal teams to provide technical documentation such as product specifications, integration requirements, etc. Partner with Mechanical, Controls and Software teams to plan the technologies integration in operation. Partner with simulation team for validating new ideas and concepts to automate manual process paths. Contribute to design the Delivery Station of the future combining Robotics, Automation, IoT and Machine Learning disciplines.

Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering or a related field and five years of experience in the job offered or a related industrial occupation. Must have one year of experience in the following skills: 1) working in an automation, robotics, or manufacturing environment; 2) conducting engineering project management; 3) working across the full project lifecycle from analysis and design to implementation; and 4) experience with complex projects in operations, processes, or performance improvement. Up to 25% domestic & international travel to perform role responsibilities may be required.
