Transform the Future of Delivery:

Imagine building the supply chain that will deliver packages to customers in under an hour—by drone. Prime Air is making this vision real, and we need an exceptional supply chain leader to scale it globally.
You will own the end-to-end supply chain strategy for Prime Air's revolutionary drone delivery system. This means leading the teams, mechanisms, and supplier partnerships that enable us to deploy and scale autonomous delivery across the US and Europe. You will work at the intersection of aerospace innovation, high-volume manufacturing, and customer obsession—solving supply chain challenges that have never been solved before.

Check out more about Prime Air on the About Amazon blog.

Why This Role Matters:

Prime Air is scaling from pilot to production. The supply chain you build will directly enable or constrain our ability to delight customers with ultra-fast delivery. Your decisions on supplier strategy, inventory positioning, and operational readiness will impact millions of deliveries and define how quickly we can grow.
This is a rare opportunity to build something from the ground up—with Amazon's resources, customer base, and innovation culture behind you.

Key job responsibilities

What You'll Own:

As the Prime Air Global Supply Chain leader, you will drive both execution and transformation across our entire value chain:

Lead High-Performing Teams: Manage teams across supply chain strategy, commodity and contract management, demand planning and procurement, and supplier engineering and operations. Build and develop talent that can scale with our rapid growth.

Drive Rate and Scale Readiness: Transform our supply chain to support Prime Air's deployment and expansion while maintaining quality and managing affordability. Ensure we can meet growth targets without compromising on safety or customer experience.

Orchestrate Complex Supplier Networks: Interface with hardware suppliers for drone systems, ground systems, and software, plus engineering services providers, logistics partners, and industry groups. Negotiate contracts, manage relationships, and drive supplier performance across the US, Europe, and Asia.

Partner Cross-Functionally: Collaborate with Prime Air Leadership, Program and Product teams, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing and Test, and Commercial Operations to align supply chain strategy with business objectives.

Invent and Simplify: Benchmark with Amazon leaders across similar businesses to identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement.
