
Senior Vendor Manager, EU Household Goods - HPC at Amazon
About the role
Amazon is looking for a talented, proactive and customer-obsessed professional to drive the development of the Household Goods category across Europe, where the company is placing high focus as part of its Everyday Essentials strategy.
The role will comprise building and managing pan-European strategic relationships with vendors while driving effective negotiations, and jointly developing category growth on Amazon. Furthermore, you help defining the vision and business strategy for the Household Goods category while driving cross-category projects to improve consumer experience when purchasing Household goods on Amazon. Additionally, you will be a key member of the EU Household Goods Vendor Management Team.

- define the vision and business strategy for the category, including North Star metrics and KPI’s
- Act as the ‘business owner’, managing the Pan-European category/vendor P&L
- Build & manage strategic relationships with vendors while driving effective negotiations
- Deliver selection growth and monitor product availability & pricing
- Functionally lead cross-functional teams and projects
- Innovate & simplify processes for superior customer experience
- Conduct in-depth analysis to meet and exceed revenue and profitability targets
- Be an ambassador and develop a thorough understanding of the industry, macro trends and future trajectory
About the team
You will be part of a truly international team based in Amazon's corporate offices across Europe. Brilliant minds with high level of ownership, bias for action and the desire to deliver for our customers are working hard every day to grow the Household Goods business on Amazon.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience in project/program management, supply chain, and/or inventory management
- Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis, or experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
- Experience with vendor and contractor/subcontractor negotiation and management skills associated with construction and project execution
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related technical field
- Experience working in a fast paced, quickly changing or international environment
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, or Master's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field
- Experience in a people management or leadership role which includes coaching and developing others
