Amazon seeks a Finance Manager to be a key member in our Operations Product Development (OPD) Finance team. You'll join as a key contributor, working directly with executives and business units across the organization to drive financial strategy and operational excellence. In this role, you'll transform complex data into actionable insights that shape critical business decisions, while building scalable financial processes that support rapid growth and innovation.

A day in the life
As a Finance Manager on our Operations Product Development Finance team, you'll spend your time bridging the gap between financial analysis and strategic business decisions. You might start your morning reviewing financial summaries to identify trends that could impact our operations, then collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their financial needs and challenges. Throughout the day, you'll develop financial models to support various business initiatives, present data-driven recommendations to senior leadership, and work with colleagues to streamline our financial processes. You'll also coordinate with multiple business units to gather insights and ensure our financial planning aligns with organizational priorities. Your work directly influences how we allocate resources and pursue new opportunities.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
