Join the AWS EMEA Telecom Solutions Architect team as the primary technical advisor for a Tier-1 European telecommunications group with operations spanning multiple countries and millions of customers. In this role, you will lead with Agentic AI and AI-assisted software development as the primary value proposition, shaping how a major operator adopts AI across its software lifecycle. You will own the end-to-end technical relationship, acting as the dedicated Solutions Architect across the group's domestic, innovation, and international business units.

This position offers regular access to CxO and VP-level decision makers, allowing you to directly influence strategic technology decisions at one of the largest telco relationships in EMEA. You'll navigate complex sovereignty and compliance requirements while designing scalable, secure architectures that address the customer's evolving priorities in AI, software modernization, and cloud transformation. With international scope spanning multiple continents and 18+ international affiliates, you'll operate across diverse geographies and business models within a single strategic account.

  • Key job responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end technical relationship with a major European telco group, designing architecture solutions and delivering proof-of-concepts across domestic, innovation, and international business units.
  • Lead architecture design and implementation for Agentic AI initiatives including multi-agent orchestration, foundation model integration, and enterprise AI platforms.
  • Drive AI-assisted software development lifecycle strategy, positioning AWS developer tools for software transformation at scale while navigating European sovereignty requirements.
  • Engage at CxO and VP level to shape the customer's AI and cloud strategy, translating complex technical concepts into business-outcome narratives in both French and English.
  • Lead technical responses to complex RFPs across GenAI, telco cloud, and data/AI managed services.
  • Develop and own the multi-year technical strategy for the account, aligning AWS capabilities with the customer's priorities in AI, software modernization, and cloud transformation.
  • Contribute to the broader EMEA Telecom SA team through thought leadership, reusable assets, and mentoring.

A day in the life
The EMEA Telecom Solutions Architect team is a group of technical experts covering the largest telco operators across Europe. We sit within the AWS Global Telecom Industry Business Unit and work closely with account managers, TAMs, specialist SAs, and Professional Services to drive technical outcomes for our customers.

A day in the life would include daily syncs with the account team and peers to align on priorities and customer requests. Deep-work blocks for architecture design, PoC development, or RFP responses. Customer-facing sessions ranging from technical deep dives with engineering teams to strategic conversations with executives. Internal collaboration with specialist SAs, product teams, Professional Services or partners to unblock opportunities. Occasional travel within France and internationally for customer workshops, executive briefings, or team events.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years in customer-facing technical roles (Solutions Architect, Technical Lead, or equivalent)
  • Hands-on experience designing and building generative AI / agentic AI solutions (agent orchestration, foundation models, RAG, guardrails)
  • Experience with AI-assisted software development tools and practices (code generation, automated testing, AI-driven CI/CD)
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence C-level and VP-level stakeholders on technology strategy
  • Strong presentation, writing, and storytelling skills for both technical and executive audiences
  • Native or business-fluent French and English (written and spoken)
  • Experience designing and delivering technical proof-of-concepts to production readiness

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of telecommunications industry (network architecture, BSS/OSS, telco cloud transformation, 5G)
  • Experience with telco-specific workloads (RAN, Core, MEC, edge computing, IoT platforms)
  • Knowledge of European data sovereignty and compliance frameworks (Sec Num Cloud, GDPR, C5)
  • Experience with AWS services across AI/ML, compute, data, and application modernization
  • Track record managing complex enterprise accounts across multiple countries and business units
  • Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks and open protocols (MCP, A2A)
  • AWS certifications (Solutions Architect Professional, Specialties)
