Amazon's BR Books Team is looking for a motivated Program Manager to support the Pricing program.
In this role you will work directly with teams across Amazon to build successful pricing strategies and competitive customer experiences. You will be working together with local Pricing and Marketing Managers, supporting the price definition and optimization processes across both countries, execute experimentation and data deep dives as well as supporting merchandising efforts to constantly raise the bar on customer experience.
The Pricing Program Manager will be responsible for supporting the long-term vision and strategy for the highly visible and crucial pricing experience, which drives long term value for Amazon and is an integral part of all high impact activities.
The ideal candidate will bring a sharp analytical mind, have strong coordination ability and can roll up their sleeves to get things done. A customer-oriented mindset and good stakeholder management skills are crucial for this role.
Key job responsibilities
What’s involved in this role? It’s fair to say that no two days are alike – so this position suits someone who enjoys variety and problem-solving. You’ll be working to:
- Define and execute pricing strategies across Books categories to drive competitiveness
- Monitor market dynamics and competitive landscape to recommend timely pricing adjustments
- Track and report key metrics to leadership from scoping through execution, managing timelines, milestones, and stakeholder alignment
- Partner with vendor manager, account managers and central pricing teams to drive automation and scalability of pricing processes through tooling and workflow improvements
- Ensure pricing compliance with internal policies, global and regional guidelines, and regulatory requirements
Basic Qualifications
- Experience in program or project management
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience automating a complex process
- Experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Experience in deal management and pricing strategy, or financial consulting
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in complex problem solving, and working in a tight schedule environment
- Master's degree in management, business administration, economics, engineering, marketing
- merchandising including executing all procedures related to the in-store display of products and services to drive the customer experience, generate product interest, and maximize sales experience
