A day in the life
You'll start your day reviewing product roadmaps with engineering teams, advising on privacy implications of new AI features. Mid-morning might bring a cross-functional meeting where you're building frameworks for novel legal questions—there's rarely a playbook, so your judgment matters. Afternoons often involve drafting guidance that translates complex regulatory requirements into actionable advice for product teams. You'll field questions ranging from data handling practices to customer-facing feature launches, serving as the trusted advisor who helps teams move fast while managing risk thoughtfully.
About the team
The Shopping Legal team partners with some of Amazon's most innovative product teams, supporting the evolution of how customers discover and evaluate products. We're a collaborative group that values pragmatic problem-solving over rigid precedent. You'll work alongside attorneys who understand that being a generalist means learning quickly, asking great questions, and building frameworks where none exist. We support each other's growth, share knowledge freely, and take pride in enabling our business partners to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
