A day in the life
As a Program Manager I, your day will focus on execution and coordination. You will manage defined projects, track progress against goals, and ensure timely delivery of tasks.
You’ll work closely with stakeholders across teams to understand requirements, resolve blockers, and maintain visibility on program health. While you may seek guidance for complex decisions, you are expected to independently manage day-to-day execution.
You’ll also use data to identify trends, support improvements to existing processes, and ensure that deliverables align with team goals and metrics. Your work will contribute directly to the reliability and efficiency of operations.
About the team
Amazon Transportation Service (ATS) plays a central role in ensuring efficient and reliable delivery across the network. As part of ATS, you’ll work with a diverse team focused on optimizing transportation across air, sea, and road networks using advanced technology and data-driven decision-making.
The team prioritizes safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. By leveraging data and collaboration, ATS ensures packages are delivered quickly, efficiently, and sustainably while maintaining high standards of reliability.
Basic Qualifications
- 1+ years of program or project management experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 1+ years of working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Experience supporting process improvement initiatives using data and metrics
- Working knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs) and basic SQL
- Experience coordinating program execution and tracking performance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement document
- Experience in written and verbal communication with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to executives and non-technical leaders
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience in resolving conflicts, providing crisis management triage, and setting appropriate expectations with customers
- Experience owning program strategy, managing end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
