We are seeking an innovative and technically skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our team. The ideal candidate will leverage AI tools and modern automation frameworks to transform our testing infrastructure, migrating manual test cases to fully automated solutions while building robust, multi-stage pipelines that ensure comprehensive quality coverage.

Key job responsibilities

Test Automation & AI Integration:

• Design and implement AI-powered frameworks to systematically migrate manual test cases to automated solutions

• Leverage generative AI and machine learning tools to accelerate test case generation, maintenance, and optimization

• Build intelligent test frameworks that adapt to platform changes and reduce maintenance overhead

Pipeline Development & Infrastructure:

• Architect and develop fully automated multi-stage CI/CD pipelines for comprehensive test execution

• Implement static analysis tools and frameworks for early defect detection

• Design and build device farm integration for executing simulations and workflows across physical Echo Show devices

• Create scalable testing infrastructure that supports parallel execution and rapid feedback cycles

Quality Assurance Focus Areas:

• Develop comprehensive functional test suites ensuring feature correctness across the rendering stack

• Build UI consistency validation frameworks that verify adherence to UX standards and design specifications

• Implement performance testing frameworks measuring memory consumption, CPU utilization, and rendering fluidity

• Create visual regression testing solutions for React Native components across different device form factors

• 1. Technical Leadership

• Drive testing strategy and best practices for the Composable Experience Platform team

• Collaborate with software engineers to ensure testability is built into system design

• Mentor team members on test automation techniques and AI-assisted testing approaches

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development and testing processes.

About the team
The Alexa Echo Show Composable Experience Platform team owns the device and cloud-side stacks for the application that manages the visual runtime experience on Echo Show devices. Our rendering platform powers rich visual experiences across different Echo Show devices, delivering seamless Home screen and Conversational experiences to millions of customers worldwide.

Basic Qualifications

• 1+ years of test automation frameworks and tools building experience
• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development testing experience
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
• Experience in penetration testing and exploitability-focused vulnerability assessment
• Experience in platform-level security mitigations and hardening for Linux and Windows

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance in a database environment
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML tools for test automation.
• Knowledge of performance profiling and optimisation for mobile/embedded devices.
• Experience with visual testing frameworks and UI automation tools.
• Familiarity with AWS services and cloud-based testing infrastructure.
