We're seeking a hands-on B2B Business Development Manager to launch and scale Ring's B2B business in Japan. This is a founding role within a newly established Japan B2B division — you'll architect the strategy, build the partner network, and establish the organizational foundation from the ground up. Beyond bringing Ring's solutions to business customers, you'll serve as the voice of Japanese business customers to global product teams, influencing worldwide B2B strategy. The ideal candidate is customer obsessed, deeply understands business customer needs across industries, excels at product demonstrations and storytelling, and identifies opportunities to deliver strategically differentiated security solutions that drive long-term growth.
Key job responsibilities

- ディストリビューター、ホームビルダー、システムインテグレーターとの関係構築・管理によるスケーラブルなチャネルネットワーク開発、パイプライン開発・商談交渉・契約締結の推進、顧客満足の確保
戦略立案と事業構築 - 確立されたB2B成長戦略の実行、顧客セグメント・チャネル・パートナーシップモデルの最適化による持続的な事業拡大の推進、新設されたJapan B2B部門の組織体制・プロセス・KPI確立
市場インサイトとプロダクト戦略 - 定性・定量データを活用した日本B2Bセキュリティ市場の深い理解、他国との違いの特定、未充足の顧客ニーズの発見、市場インサイトと顧客フィードバックのグローバルプロダクト・マーケティングチームへの提供、日本向けB2Bソリューション開発への貢献
Partner Network Development:
- Build and manage relationships with key B2B partners including distributors, home builders, and system integrators to develop a scalable channel network
- Drive pipeline development, deal negotiation, and contract closure with key accounts, and customer satisfaction
- Strategy & Business Building
- Execute established B2B growth strategies for Ring Japan, optimizing customer segments, channels, and partnership models to drive sustainable business expansion
- Establish organizational structure, processes, and KPIs for the newly established Japan B2B division
- Market Insights & Product Strategy
- Develop a deep understanding of the Japanese B2B security landscape using qualitative and quantitative data, identifying differences from other countries and uncovering unmet customer needs
- Serve as the voice of Japanese business customers by channeling market insights and customer feedback to global product and marketing teams, contributing to the development of B2B-specific offerings tailored for Japan
A day in the life
Your day often starts with partner outreach — following up on ongoing conversations, preparing for upcoming meetings, or responding to inquiries from prospective accounts.
You are comfortable leading negotiations, crafting proposals, and closing deals, while also thinking ahead about how to grow the overall partner network.
Back at your desk, you might be analyzing pipeline data, preparing for a partner presentation, or working with internal teams to adapt materials for a Japanese B2B audience. You bring structure to ambiguity, move quickly when opportunities arise, and always keep the customer's needs at the center of every decision.
No two days are exactly the same — but what stays constant is your focus on building the right partnerships, delivering value to business customers, and contributing to Ring's long-term growth in Japan.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of business development, or account management with a proven ability to deliver results experience
- Experience in setting up and managing a sales pipeline
- Experience in developing, negotiating and executing business agreements
- Speak, write, and read fluently in Japanese
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English
- セキュリティ、IoT、スマートホーム、SaaS等の業界での5年以上のB2Bビジネス開発経験、パイプライン管理・商談交渉・売上達成の実証済みの実績、ディストリビューター・ビルダー・チャネルパートナーとの関係構築経験
- 日本語・英語両言語でのビジネスレベルのコミュニケーション能力(必須)、データドリブンな市場分析と戦略立案能力、経営層レベルのコミュニケーションとステークホルダーマネジメント、曖昧さの中で創業者マインドセットで実行できる能力
