Security Program Manager Lead at Amazon

AWS Infrastructure Services ensure the reliability and security of the global cloud. We are looking for a Senior Security Program Manager Lead to lead our physical security strategy across Sydney, Melbourne, and Auckland.
You are responsible for managing a team of Security Program Managers (SPMs) to ensure our data center infrastructure is secured according to global standards. Your focus is on team leadership, stakeholder alignment, and directing the lifecycle of security systems, including Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and Video Surveillance.

• Key job responsibilities
• Leadership: Hire, develop, and manage a team of SPMs across the ANZ region. Responsible for performance management, technical mentorship, and resource allocation.
• Regional Oversight: Accountable for the security roadmap and project delivery across all ANZ sites. Ensure all installations meet technical specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Financial Management: Own the regional security budget. Prioritize capital and operational expenditure across the Sydney, Melbourne, and Auckland clusters.
• Vendor Governance : Manage strategic relationships with security integration partners. Oversee contract performance and service quality at the regional level
• Risk & Escalation : Serve as the senior escalation point for complex technical or operational issues. Resolve cross-functional bottlenecks to keep regional projects on schedule

About the team
We are accountable for end-to-end delivery of physical security systems during data center construction, ensuring solutions are properly designed, installed, tested and commissioned in line with AWS standards.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of physical security experience
• 5+ years of security management experience
• Experience managing a team of individual contributors
• Australian Citizenship is required for this position due to government security regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing contract security and physical security operation programs such as Access Control/Intrusion Detection and CCTV Surveillance systems
• Experience in security operations in a leadership role
