APS ( Amazon Payment Service) is looking for a talented and experienced TPM to drive new initiatives across cross functional teams and to rollout business transformational programs in the Middle East North Africa region.
- Key job responsibilities
- The role will manage large, complex technology initiatives, delivering critical solutions, significant improvements, new mechanisms, or deprecating systems that are no longer needed. These efforts will require you to work with multiple teams in and/or across organizations.
- You will be accountable for the overall strategy of large programs. You will manage all stages (from concept to delivery).
- You will need to understand the architecture of the systems you work with. You will influence team technical priorities and business strategy through data-driven contributions.
- You will be able to make a case for project priorities, resource allocation to achieve a desired business outcome, resolve an architecture deficiency, or unblock delivery.
- You will communicate ideas effectively, verbally and in writing, to a wide range of audiences including Directors.
- You will foster a constructive dialogue, harmonize discordant views, and lead the resolution of contentious issues (build consensus). You will partner with customers, stakeholders, and engineering teams.
- You will drive crisp decisions in your program area about what projects move forward and in what priority order. You will proactively identify risks and bring them to the attention of your team and stakeholders with plans for mitigation before they become roadblocks.
- You will be a simplifier. You will judiciously add, refine, and remove procedures.
- You will have good working relationships with engineers, managers, and peers. You will recognize discordant views and take part in constructive dialogue to resolve them.
- You will own, gather data, write, deliver, and present project and business related reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc basis, while ensuring written communication is of the highest quality with minimal feedback required.
- Drive Director+ leadership communications through MTR, QTR, Program reviews, goals review and OP discussions.
- Drive cross L8 synergies and tech leverage across Payments systems
- Independently engage and drive communication and stakeholder management of external partners.
- Own what you and your team create.
- Serve as a technical lead on project of varying complexities.
- Execute quality solutions in tandem with business and project management teams.
- Strive for 100% efficiency by constantly automating newer processes and demands.
- Broaden your technical expertise to be able to refine existing frameworks and build newer ones.
Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
