Controls Optimization & Management, Process Automation, and Solutions Support (COMPASS) is seeking a Finance Manager to support Worldwide Amazon Stores controllership. Our top priority is controllership. We are looking for a leader that will drive change across the organization, stay ahead of operational risks, and strengthen our control environment. You will be eager to dive deep into processes, eliminate inefficiencies, problem solve and protect the integrity of our financial results.
- Key job responsibilities
- Track procure-to-pay process defects, partner with business teams to deep dive these defects and proffer automated solutions to close identified gaps
- Assess risks inherent to operational and transaction processes in the Procure-to-Pay process; streamline processes through automation and business transformation projects
- Drive controllership in WW Amazon Stores processes, partner with cross-functional teams to minimize process inefficiencies and improve data integrity and financial statement accuracy
- Continuously inspect and improve risk assessment and mitigation mechanisms to avoid fraud, waste, and abuse
- Drive Amazon Stores procurement goals across the organization
- Communicate project status to senior leadership and drive project deliverables to completion
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
Preferred Qualifications
- 6+ years of controllership or compliance experience
- 6+ years of SOX and/or Audit engagements experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- Experience delivering results for large, cross-functional initiatives/projects
- Experience in accounting management in Big Four with Fortune 500 clients
- MBA, or CPA

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
