What if you could shape how AI agents and marketers work side by side to create, manage, and deliver content at a global scale? We're looking for a Senior AI Design Technologist to be the creative-technical catalyst on a team building the future of AI-native marketing at AWS.

You will be the sole design technologist on this team, owning the vision for how humans and AI agents interact across marketing workflows. Your job: validate ideas fast, build working prototypes that influence strategy, and define what it looks like when AI agents become first-class participants in how AWS markets to millions of customers. Your scope spans both user experience (UX) and agent experience (AX), designing the points where human judgment and autonomous action meet and making those seams invisible. You’ll design AI agents that think and act like real marketing personas, bringing distinct voices and strategies to the table.

You will use AI not just to build faster, but to sharpen judgment about what's actually worth building. In a world where everyone can build with AI, you will be the one who brings great taste: the ability to distinguish great from good through deep research and managing needs vs. wants.

This is not a traditional prototyping role. You will work across product management, engineering, marketing, and design to compress the distance from idea to outcome. You will create provocations that move the organization, package explorations into compelling demos, and help leadership experience the future firsthand through tangible, working artifacts.

  • Key job responsibilities
  • Own the AI Design Technology vision, setting the bar for AI-native marketing experiences across the content lifecycle and orchestration layer.
  • Validate ideas at speed. Translate ambiguous problems into functional prototypes that challenge assumptions and accelerate decisions. Measure time in hours, not weeks.
  • Build beyond UI into agentic workflows using model APIs, orchestration frameworks, and middleware spanning user-facing and agent-to-agent interactions.
  • Define the dual experience: user and agent. Pioneer paradigms serving users who need intuitive tools and AI agents who need clear protocols, trust signals, and collaboration patterns.
  • Design the experience layer enabling marketers to seamlessly discover and interact with agents (e.g., acting as email strategists, campaign optimizers, and more) from creation to distribution.
  • Proactively surface UX opportunities, friction points, and design gaps across the marketer and agent experience.
  • Bridge design-to-engineering handoff with production-aware prototypes, reusable components, and patterns that accelerate shipping.
  • Mentor designers and engineers on AI-native design practices and contribute to the broader design technology community.

About the team
The Content, Brand Technology and Applied AI team builds the foundational technology that powers content creation, management, and distribution for AWS Marketing. We are at the forefront of integrating AI and agentic orchestration into marketing workflows, working across content generation, asset management, content health, localization, and channel distribution. Our systems serve hundreds of marketers and touch millions of customer-facing content assets across aws.amazon.com.

We move fast, we build with taste, and we measure success not by what ships but by what gets adopted and loved. We believe the best way to shape the future is to build it, validate it, and put it in people's hands.

Diverse Experiences
AWS values diverse experiences. Even if you do not meet all of the preferred qualifications and skills listed in the job description, we encourage candidates to apply. If your career is just starting, hasn’t followed a traditional path, or includes alternative experiences, don’t let it stop you from applying.
