About the role

  • As an Analyst in the Long Term Planning
  • Transformation Programs team, you will be responsible for steering our key transformational initiatives to reduce cost to serve, support speed goals, and improve customer experience across a wide range of functional areas, as well as business focused views. Our portfolio ranges across Consolidation, Regionalization, Defects, Customer Incentives, Non-sort, Low ASP, Unattended Delivery, Tail Efficiency, and other programs in collaboration with Stores/FBA/Tech teams in EU.

The role includes 75% of analytical activities management and 25% project management.

Key job responsibilities

  • As an Analyst in the Long Term Planning
  • Transformation Programs team, you will establish and drive various program initiatives across Amazon's European Operations. This role requires navigating highly complex, strategic scope across the end-to-end supply chain, understanding core operational activities, exposing improvement opportunities and inefficiencies, surfacing tradeoffs between cost, customer experience, growth, and long-term profitability.
    Collaborating closely with teams across EU Operations, you will jointly identify and propose solutions and levers, proceed to piloting and testing before rolling out. Navigating the conflicting priorities and trade-offs, you will play a crucial role in breaking down silos and facilitating a holistic, data-driven decision-making process.

We improve customer experience through continuously optimizing the complex movements of goods from vendors to customers throughout Europe.

  • The Supply Chain, Transportation Planning & Operational Excellence (EU STEP) is a team responsible for the end-to-end flow of goods from our vendors and sellers to Amazon customers all over Europe, in order to ensure a speedy and reliable customer delivery in the cheapest way possible.

  • Long Term Planning

  • Transformation Programs team is focused on delivering the most critical cross-functional initiatives and finding solutions to lower Amazon cost-to-serve. We work with operations teams, Retail and FBA, finance, tech teams to improve our ability to serve customers with faster speed and at lower cost.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Math, Engineering, Science or Business
  • Experience in an analytical field
  • Ability to lead and structure projects, in particular liaising and collaborating with internal partners to influence direction and roadmaps, despite competing priorities
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, in particular the ability to synthetize clearly complex issues

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree, or MBA in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field
  • Ability to progress autonomously in ambiguous environment
