A day in the life
Your day begins by reviewing performance metrics across non-paid channels—specifically analyzing email and SMS campaign data including open rates, click-through rates, and conversion metrics alongside broader content engagement indicators. You identify which initiatives are driving the highest quality applications and which need optimization.
You'll spend time in CRM tools building and testing automated candidate journeys, ensuring segmentation logic is accurate and personalization tokens work correctly. Throughout the day, you collaborate with your local Japan team on market-specific content and engagement needs, working with Creative on email designs, and coordinating with developers on HTML edits or technical troubleshooting.
You're constantly analyzing candidate journey data and workflows to understand where content gaps exist, how to address them effectively, and opportunities to improve automation and personalization. You navigate seamlessly between Japanese and English communications, communicating local market insights to global teams and adapting global best practices for the Japanese market.
You balance executing today's scheduled campaigns with planning future launches and optimizing existing automated flows. You conduct A/B tests, multivariate testing (MVT) on subject lines, messaging, and send times, then analyze results to inform future strategies. The ideal candidate leverages data to gain insights and solve problems, has an eye for design, and brings content strategy skills to the role. You think strategically and execute flawlessly, understanding data workflows, customer segmentation, automation and personalization, and testing best practices.
You're continuously balancing immediate tactical needs with long-term strategic planning, taking time each day to ideate on new engagement approaches that will reduce paid marketing dependency. You lead and contribute to project meetings, review content drafts, and ensure all materials accurately represent Amazon's employer brand promise while resonating with Japanese job seekers. As part of our work model, you collaborate closely with Japan local hiring teams, local and global marketing and tech colleagues, and external partners to deliver exceptional candidate experiences.
