Key job responsibilities
The Systems Engineer leads the design, implementation, and automation of complex Windows infrastructure solutions across multiple environments. This role serves as the technical specialist for infrastructure automation, system architecture, and enterprise-scale Windows environment management, focusing on developing automated solutions for managing large server fleet.

• Design and implement automated solutions for Windows infrastructure deployment and management
• Architect and maintain Active Directory and domain controller infrastructure across multiple security domains
• Develop comprehensive Infrastructure as Code templates for Windows environments
• Create automated workflows for system administration using PowerShell, Python, and other automation tools
• Design and implement scalable solutions for meeting rooms, video walls, and enterprise printing services
• Drive technical initiatives for infrastructure improvements and automation

Must hold or be able to attain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency clearance (see https://www1.defence.gov.au/security/clearances).

About the team
Region Services provides the highest caliber Operational Solutions and Cleared Support for services within our Regions. We provide 'hands on keyboard' support to our service teams by deploying changes into these isolated regions, monitoring the results, and reporting any issues that are observed.

Basic Qualifications

• Knowledge of networking fundamentals
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical degree or related experience
• 1+ years of site reliability engineering (SRE), systems engineering, systems administration, DevOps, security administration, or network administration experience
• Experience scripting in PowerShell or other scripting languages

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of site reliability engineering (SRE), systems engineering, systems administration, DevOps, security administration, or network administration experience
• 2+ years of building scripts, tooling, and automation for large-scale computing environments experience
• Knowledge of configuration management systems, such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or related systems
• Experience in network capture and systems troubleshooting
