Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for Solutions Architects with strong software engineering skills and a passion for architecting and developing solutions to show customers the art of the possible. You will be part of an agile team of innovative practitioners who are obsessed with understanding the needs of our customers and have the skills to partner with them in experimenting with new ideas that can open up new markets or radically change how they deliver existing products/services.
In this role you will use your software development skills to develop prototypes using Agentic AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Generative IA, IoT and Serverless Architectures. You will apply software engineering best practices that ensures the prototypes provide a foundation to production solutions. We will provide a creative environment where high judgement failure is embraced so you can move fast without compromising on research time that is required to experiment with new ideas.

You have an area of focus where you are a subject matter expert such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, IoT, or some facet of the Big Data ecosystem. You enjoy collaborating with people, even outside the technical team, to deep dive into customer problemas and find the best solutions for our customers.
Key job responsibilities
- Architect, develop, test and implement loosely coupled distributed software solutions.
- Research and deploy up-to-date technological developments in customer engagements.
- Drive the AWS platform by aligning customer requirements with AWS service teams’ roadmaps.
- This role will focus on customers using AWS for research, development, and innovation.
- Author or contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as white-papers, tutorials, blogs, etc.
- Position requires travel, generally, between 0 - 25%.

About the team
The Prototyping and AI Customer Engineering (PACE) team is an elite group of hands-on builders within AWS. Through rapid, time-boxed prototyping engagements, PACE helps customers explore the art of the possible with AWS, turning bold ideas into working solutions that demonstrate real business value. PACE operates at the frontier of emerging technology, with deep expertise in Generative AI, Agentic AI, AI/MAL, and modern agentic application development.
Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
- Experience with AI/ML technologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
- Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective
