This role sits within the AWS Marketplace team, part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP). AWS Marketplace is changing how enterprise software is bought and sold — giving sellers access to all AWS customers and giving buyers a single place to discover, purchase, and consume software.

In this role, you will design, build, and own a brand new products that enable Agents with central data, semantic and knowledge foundations that are required to discover, reason over, and act securely, accurately and autonomously.

Key job responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer to help the team take AWS Marketplace to the next level. As a Software Development Engineer on the team you will own significant portions of the product and will have significant influence on our strategy by helping define the next wave of product features and system architecture. The systems are complex and there are huge opportunities to work at all levels from the front end user experience, to a set of robust platform services, to system level pieces and everything in between. You should be somebody who enjoys working on complex system software, is customer-centric, and is passionate about building quality software as well as achieving operational excellence. A commitment to teamwork, hustle, and strong communication skills (to both business and technical partners) are essential.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrable track record of success delivering new features or products. This person has thrived and succeeded in delivering high quality technology products/services in a hyper-growth environment where priorities shift fast. They have strong design and implementation experience, strong knowledge of web services and protocols, and an in-depth knowledge of distributed systems architectures. Experience with asynchronous workflow systems is a plus.

This role is part of the Data and Intelligence organization at AWS Marketplace — a cross-functional team of Software Engineers, Data Engineers, Scientists, and BI Engineers working together to build the next generation of analytics and AI-powered systems.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
