Sort Centers are a critical Middle Mile connection in Amazon's supply chain, the most complex supply chain in the world. We enable fast, cost effective delivery of millions of products to hundreds of millions of customers across North America.

The Finance Manager, North America Sort Centers role plays a critical role in both finance leadership and business partnership. You will lead Finance for the West Region, consisting of 40 sites across 7 Sub-Regions, with total annual spend of $2 billion. The West Region will also be launching our first Central Hub operation in 2026. You and your team will partner with the Senior Regional Director of the West and the 7 Regional Directors to drive productive friction in the operation to drive financial performance. The role will challenge you to consistently raise the bar in our productivity and variable cost as we continue to evolve our network and our operations.

Key job responsibilities

Act as the CFO of the West Region:

Partner with senior leaders across the Operations team, as well as key partner teams including Labor Planning, ACES, and Engineering to prioritize and drive productivity and cost improvements
Create and execute mechanisms to inspect performance across the West Region and identify opportunities
Regularly present to senior leaders within the Region
Lead and develop a team of four to grow their capabilities and careers

A day in the life
You'll start the day with a 1:1 with a strategic partner in Labor Planning (or ACES, or Sort Tech, or Operations). Next you'll present a white paper to senior leaders across the Sort Center organization on labor strategy (or tech strategy, or Ops standard work) which your team has been working with stakeholders on. To close out the day, you'll meet 1:1 with a couple of your team members to give them coaching and feedback on the review, and words of inspiration for the future as you set the vision for the next opportunity.

About the team
You and your team will help leaders across Labor Planning, ACES, Sorth Tech, and Operations look at productivity and variable cost across 108 Sort Centers, leaning in as a respected thought leader on setting labor strategy, standard work, prioritization, and capital and labor investment.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, and Computer Science)
  • 5+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience
  • 3+ years of direct management experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA
  • 8+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
  • 8+ years of mentoring junior finance and/or business team members experience
  • 5+ years of directly managing and leading a team of 5+ members experience
  • 5+ years of working with senior staff (e.g. c-suite) experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
