In this role, the Senior Program Manager will partner with leaders across Merchandise Enablement and applicable stakeholders — including Merchandising, Operations, and Finance — to influence and drive decisions across multiple channels and banners.

This role supports large-scale, complex projects and programs that can span multiple years, with a focus on building and maintaining mechanisms, strategic planning support, goal management, and OP execution. The position requires superior analytical strength, attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to synthesize the moving parts of the omni-channel grocery business to drive forward progress. The right candidate must bring a strong sense of urgency, the ability to influence, sound judgment, and a willingness to roll up their sleeves. They must thrive in an ever-changing environment and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities across diverse channel operations

Key job responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning & OP Support

  • Support the end-to-end OP process, from initial planning through final submission and execution, partnering closely with the Director and functional leads

  • Develop and execute work-backwards plans to ensure key strategic deliverables — including Annual Operating Plans and Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews for category management initiatives — are completed on time to high quality standards

  • Coordinate inputs across Pricing, Consumer Research, Analytics, Data, Merchandise Presentation, and Merchandise Learning & Change to ensure cohesive OP submissions

  • Help translate strategic objectives into actionable plans with clear milestones, owners, and timelines

  • Draft and refine OP narratives, documents, and executive-level materials in partnership with leadership

  • Large-Scale Program & Project Management

  • Support large-scale, cross-functional programs and projects that can span multiple years and have significant organizational impact

  • Orchestrate cross-functional initiatives and manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects across Merchandise Enablement, Merchandising, Operations, and Finance

  • Establish and maintain robust project tracking systems and prioritization frameworks

  • Manage program scope, timeline, budget, and quality to ensure successful delivery

  • Manage critical escalations and special strategic initiatives

  • Mechanisms & Operational Excellence

  • Drive organizational excellence by developing and refining the Rhythm of the Business

  • Own creation and maintenance of Rhythm of Business reporting, driving optimization and efficiency across multiple channels and banners with emphasis on perishables category performance

  • Lead high-visibility business reviews and presentations, including WBRs, MBRs, QBRs, program reviews, and Operating Plan reviews

  • Build, implement, and maintain scalable mechanisms that drive accountability and operational rigor

  • Proactively identify, escalate, and mitigate program risks and cross-functional dependencies
