Job Summary:

Join the Prime Video Live Sports team as a Technical Operations Manager and become the critical bridge between world-class sport productions next generation broadcast technology. You'll lead technical vendor relationships for multiple high profile live sports properties, ensuring millions of viewers experience flawless delivery of the content they love.

This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of sports broadcasting at Amazon. You'll work at the intersection of innovation and execution, collaborating with Editorial, Production Operations, and Technical Engineering teams to launch and optimize live sports productions. Your expertise will drive vendor performance, establish technical workflows, and solve complex challenges in real-time broadcast environments.

What makes this role exciting:
-Own end-to-end technical delivery for multiple Prime Video Sports properties

-Serve as the primary technical point of contact for production teams and technical vendors

-Work with Technical Engineering team to drive innovation by evaluating and integrating new broadcast technologies and workflows

-Collaborate with global federations and broadcast partners on high-visibility sports content

• Help shape vendor strategy through RFP processes, market research, and performance optimization

-Work with the latest broadcast technologies in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment

-Partner with cross-functional teams including Production Operations, Editorial, and Live Operations

-Make direct impact on viewer experience for Prime Video's growing sports portfolio

Basic Qualifications

• 7 + years in a technical management role in live tv/film productions.
• Experience in technical planning and managing execution of live productions in a broadcast environment, including vendor coordination, workflow establishment, and real-time problem resolution.
• Working knowledge of video, audio, networking, and communications systems within a live production environment, including signal flow, broadcast standards, and real-time troubleshooting.
• Extremely detail oriented, organized and a team player.
• Ability to problem solve and multi-task in fast paced, dynamic environment.
• Experience educating non-technical stakeholders and working across multiple teams and regions.
• Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and technical workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

• Live Sports Production Technical Operations Management with Tier 1 Sport Properties.
• Experience defining technical and production roadmaps and requirements.
• Relationships with key vendors across the global within the broadcast industry.
• Ability to run a tender process and negotiate business terms with vendors.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to lead meetings and clearly communicate live production workflows.
