Amazon Financial Technology Team is looking for a results-oriented, driven software development engineer to work in our Software Development Center in Sao Paulo, who can help us create the next generation of distributed, scalable financial systems. We need someone to design and develop services that facilitate global financial transactions worth billions (USD) annually.

A Software Development Engineer (SDE) at Amazon works on real world problems on a global scale, owns their systems end to end and influences the direction of our technology that impacts hundreds of millions of customers around the world. You can expect to design flexible and scalable solutions, and work on some of the most complex challenges in large-scale computing by utilizing your skills in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming. • Key job responsibilities

• Develop projects through the entire software life cycle, from requirement assessment and service design to interface creation, code development, rigorous testing, and final deployment for our tax customers.

• Evaluate, recommend, and leverage a diverse array of AWS technologies, including Lambda, Fargate, EMR, SNS/SQS, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Red Shift, S3, and other innovative tools to architect and construct highly scalable technical solutions that drive innovation and efficiency within our projects.

• Design and code technical solutions using Java, Spark, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, and various other programming languages to deliver substantial value to our clientes.

• Build iteratively using agile methodologies.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience (non-internship) in professional software development
• Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
• Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Experience with the AWS platform, web services, software development, or related technologie
