Sr Content Marketing Manager, Prime Video Japan
As Prime Video JP continues to grow its portfolio, we are currently seeking a Senior Content Marketing Manager to manage our content marketing for properties spanning Scripted (Movies and Series), Unscripted (Romance Reality and Comedy Shows), Anime, and Live Sports (Boxing, NBA, Baseball). You will develop marketing strategies and execute paid and social marketing plans to expand our audiences, working closely with internal stakeholders including Amazon Studios, Content Acquisition, PR, Marketing Creative, Owned Merchandising, Brand, and Legal, as well as licensors and advertising/social agencies.
- Key job responsibilities
- Lead the marketing strategy and go-to-market plans for Prime Video content across all paid media channels and organic social (e.g., TV, Digital, Social), working in close collaboration with internal teams, advertising and media agencies, and media platforms.
- Analyze consumer insights, understand the competitor landscape, and serve as the subject matter expert for content marketing in Prime Video Japan.
- Present marketing strategies and share ongoing performance updates with senior leadership.
- Establish and manage launch timelines, ensuring appropriate processes, procedures, forms, and tracking are in place with internal and external stakeholders to maintain scheduled campaign delivery.
- Manage marketing operations including social posting, owned marketing asset delivery, and title page launch setup.
A day in the life
As a Senior Content Marketing Manager at Prime Video, you'll spearhead marketing strategy for new content launches from concept to execution. You'll orchestrate cross-functional collaboration with internal PR, Creative teams, media and social agencies, and licensors to deliver impactful single-title campaigns. Your day-to-day includes securing approvals from senior leadership and external stakeholders, managing campaign timelines across multiple launches, and delivering regular performance reports to management. This role offers the opportunity to shape how audiences in Japan discover and engage with Prime Video content in a fast-paced, creative environment.
Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English
- Speak, write, and read fluently in Japanese
- Experience establishing successful partnerships with internal and external teams to execute tactical initiatives or equivalent
- Experience managing multiple projects, prioritizing, planning, and managing time
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience driving direction and alignment with large cross-functional teams and agency partners
- Experience in the entertainment industry
