The Account Executive, Local Ads is a prospecting-focused sales role within Amazon's Local Ads business. This individual is responsible for identifying and engaging local advertisers through both agency partnerships and direct advertiser relationships — owning the full sales cycle from prospecting through campaign close and partnership growth.
The ideal candidate brings subject matter expertise in local advertising and digital advertising solutions, with a proven track record of developing and executing local ad campaigns that drive measurable results. They possess interpersonal skills and the ability to earn trust across both advertiser and agency stakeholders, navigating complex relationships with confidence. This person is equally comfortable with ambiguity and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment, and approaches their work with a self-starter mindset and a consistent bias toward action and results.
Key job responsibilities
Prospect and engage local advertisers through agency and direct-advertiser channels
Close new business and manage advertiser campaigns to hit advertiser acquisition and revenue goals
Build and maintain a network of relationships with local advertisers and agencies
Navigate complex advertiser and agency situations with confidence and clarity while responding effectively to market dynamics, advertiser feedback, and competitive positioning
Maintain rigorous Salesforce hygiene, including timely meeting inputs, accurate opportunity creation, and consistent pipeline management to ensure data integrity and visibility across the business
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of B2B sales experience
- Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
- Experience in account management and selling of digital media
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience consistently closing sales and generating revenues
- Experience of high level negotiation and successful internal and external relationship management
- Experience working in a sales role
- 3+ years of digital ad sales as an individual contributor experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments, restricted stock units (RSUs), and sales incentives. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
