About the role

Amazon Japan's Easy Ship program enables third-party sellers to leverage Amazon's logistics network for fast, reliable delivery to customers. We are seeking a detail-oriented and data-driven Operations Program Manager to support the end-to-end operational planning and execution of Easy Ship's First Mile pickup and delivery network in Japan.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing critical operational processes, including master data management, demand forecasting validation, route planning, and capacity configuration that directly impact thousands of sellers and millions of customer deliveries. You will work cross-functionally with planning, transportation, and seller-facing teams to ensure seamless daily execution and continuous improvement of our logistics operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong operational discipline, intermediate Excel proficiency, and a passion for logistics to grow into a senior program management role over the next few years.

Key job responsibilities

  • Data Management & Seller Onboarding

  • Maintain and update database for existing sellers, ensuring accuracy of seller profiles, pickup addresses, and service configurations.

  • Execute node registration for new sellers, coordinating with onboarding teams to ensure timely activation within the Easy Ship network.

  • Manage intake processes for new seller registrations, validating data completeness and accuracy.

  • Demand Forecasting & Capacity Configuration

  • Perform W-4 (four-week lookahead) and W-1 (one-week lookahead) forecast validation using established macros and analytical tools.

  • Configure FM (First Mile) capacity parameters including time-slot changes and new seller registration capacity adjustments.

  • Identify and flag forecast deviations between seller-registered calendar volume and actual demand, escalating discrepancies to planning leads.

  • Route Planning & Validation

  • Execute W-4 and W-1 route validation using macros and internal routing tools.

  • Monitor route changes on execution day, tracking seller callouts (cancellations/additions) and implementing remedial actions to maintain service levels.

  • Raise ad-hoc requirements for W0 (current week) adjustments based on route validation outcomes.

  • Operational Support & Reporting

  • Collect and organize data related to package volumes, truck operations, and operations using Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, charts).

  • Create operational reports and summaries using Microsoft Word and internal reporting tools.

  • Investigate package status inquiries and operational issues using internal systems.

  • Coordinate with partner teams to resolve operational concerns.

  • Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to automate or streamline recurring manual processes.

  • Support the development and documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs).

A day in the life
You will start your day reviewing the latest seller registrations and updating master data to ensure the network is current. Throughout the week, you will validate demand forecasts against capacity, confirm route plans, and monitor live operations for any deviations. When issues arise — such as unexpected seller callouts or volume spikes — you will implement remedial actions in real time. You will prepare weekly reports summarizing operational performance and flag risks or opportunities to your manager.
