Head of Transport Industry, ANZ Public Sector Industry Business Development Team
About the role
Lead the transformation of how people and goods move across Australia and New Zealand. As AWS's Head of Transport Industry, you'll shape the future of connected mobility, intelligent infrastructure, and sustainable transport — partnering with the region's most ambitious transport leaders to solve challenges both at a national and global scale.
This is a rare opportunity to combine deep transport sector expertise with the world's most comprehensive cloud platform to drive generational change across road, rail, maritime, aviation, and urban mobility — at a time when ANZ transport investment is accelerating, from smart corridors to Brisbane 2032 and beyond.
Key job responsibilities
Thought Leadership: Serve as a super-influencer and evangelist for AWS within the Transport sector through keynote speeches, panel discussions, publications, and industry events focused on connected mobility, intelligent infrastructure, and sustainable transport.
GTM Strategy Ownership: Lead creation, inspection, and evolution of industry GTM strategy across ANZ for Transport with customer-obsessed continuous improvement across road, rail, maritime, aviation, and urban mobility
Executive Engagement: Build and nurture Ministerial, Secretary, and CXO-level relationships with state and federal transport agencies, infrastructure authorities, and industry bodies to inspire innovation and enable long-term transformation across the Transport industry
Force Multiplier: Provide differentiated support to account and partner teams through executive briefings, presentations, account planning, and proposal preparation.
Customer Advocacy: Act as feedback conduit between transport customers and AWS product/service teams to shape future strategies representing the diverse needs of the ANZ transport sector
Business Development: Drive cloud adoption across a sector undergoing generational investment in smart corridors, multimodal integration, and fleet electrification — addressing shared challenges including legacy systems, fragmented data silos, siloed modal operations, and aging asset management platforms
Partner Development: Grow and scale a community of culturally aligned Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and Systems Integrators (SIs) through the Amazon Partner Network (APN) to deliver repeatable transport solutions
