The Finance Operations organization works with every part of Amazon to provide operations accounting and operations excellence services with the highest level of controllership at the lowest cost to the company. We provide the backbone systems and operational processes which completely, accurately, and validly pay Amazon’s suppliers, invoice our customers and report financial results.

Amazon Manila is looking for a leader to manage large scale initiatives or multiple projects ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. The candidate needs to carry out efficient execution of projects and be a strong communicator and will be responsible for coordinating and representing the interests of Finance Operations within Amazon in Accounts Payable for both corporate and retail.

The responsibility of this role will be project management. This individual will be a very strong leader who is adept at strategic planning and alignment with stakeholders within a very dynamic business environment and has a proven record of delivering process efficiency results.

Key job responsibilities
Job duties include:

• On strategic planning:
  o Align program goals with the organization’s priorities
  o Develop a comprehensive program roadmap, setting timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  o Assess and prioritize projects based on organizational impact, resource availability, and risk.
• Project oversight
  o Expected to manage multiple projects, ensuring seamless coordination between teams.
  o Track progress and ensure project teams adhere to timelines and expectations/goals.
• Risk and Issue Management
  o Proactively identify financial, operational, or compliance risks within the program.
  o Develop strategies to mitigate risks and address potential issues without disrupting operations.
  o Handle escalations efficiently, ensuring swift resolution of critical problems.
• Stakeholder Management
  o Cross-functional collaboration, act as bridge between relevant teams to ensure project success.
  o Regularly update leadership on program progress, challenges, and outcomes.
  o Ensure that all stakeholders have a clear understanding of program goals and their roles.
• Innovation
  o Identify inefficiencies in operations and implement improvements through projects.
  o Oversee implementation of automation or any tools for efficiency
• Governance and Compliance
  o Ensure all initiatives comply with statutory requirements (if any), policies, and internal controls.
  o Implement project governance to track performance and accountability.
• Change Management
  o Support changes in processes, systems, or policies, ensuring a smooth transition.
  o Prepare and train teams for the adoption of new tools, practices, or workflows introduced through the program.
  o Effectively communicate the purpose and benefits of changes to all stakeholders.
• Perform other duties as required

Working Conditions:

• Normal Office Environment.
• Report daily to the Pasay office.
• This role will primarily be reporting on mid shift and may also be requested to be on shifting schedule from time to time including night shift.
• Work during Holidays, may be required by the business

Job Requirement:
 Preferably with a Bachelor Degree/Masters Degree in Finance/Accounting as Major Subject.
 Prior experience of at least 2 years in similar BPO outfit or in Finance & Accounting role as a Program Manager
 Strong management and communication background

Basic Qualifications

• Finance Graduates with 5+ or more years of relevant Finance and/or Operational experience.
• Strong project management experience
• Demonstrates strong communication (verbal and written) skills and can positively influence behaviors and outcomes.
• Experience collaborating with teams or individuals that come from different cultural backgrounds.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to evaluate business processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• College Graduate, CPA or MBA Finance, Certified PMP with over 10+ years of relevant Finance and/or Operations experience.
• Experience with Oracle Financials and Business Intelligence, SAP/ other ERP will be an added advantage.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a work ethic based upon a strong desire to exceed expectations.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to evaluate business processes.
• Experience with complex problem solving using Lean / Six Sigma techniques desired.
• Proven project management ability that shows how to organize, find solutions, and follow through to a successful conclusion.
• Advanced presentation skills and the ability to guide/ influence leadership.
