Prime Video (PV) is changing the way millions of customers enjoy video. Prime Video delivers premium content to customers through purchase and rental of movies and TV shows, unlimited on-demand streaming through Amazon Prime subscriptions, add-on channels like Paramount + and HBO, and live concerts and sporting events like NFL Thursday Night Football.
We are seeking a Programming Manager to join our Global & US Programming team. This role will focus on developing and executing bespoke programming strategies tailored to specific customer segments, ensuring we continuously look around corners to anticipate emerging audience needs and evolving consumption patterns.
Key job responsibilities
- Strategic Planning & Customer Insights
- Lead deep-dive analyses and develop reports articulating bespoke programming strategies for priority customer segments
- Partner with Business Planning & Insights, Data Science, and Research teams to surface actionable intelligence on customer content needs
- Conduct historical analyses on content-audience performance to identify opportunities for targeted programming approaches
- Drive strategic initiatives that optimize selection and positioning for specific demographic cohorts
- Title Pipeline Management
- Partner with Marketing, Product, and Merchandising teams to ensure programming strategies align with customer experience optimization
- Collaborate with the Programming Strategic Insights team to translate data findings into actionable programming recommendations
- Work closely across team to ensure customer-centric approaches are embedded in release and title support planning
- Execution & Measurement
- Develop frameworks and methodologies for evaluating programming effectiveness across different customer segments
- Track and report on the performance of bespoke strategies, identifying learnings and optimization opportunities
- Contribute to quarterly business reviews and goal-setting processes for priority audiences
- Support team mechanisms for planning and reporting on audiences
Basic Qualifications
- Experience using customer insights and data to deeply understand target customers and dive deep
- Experience working with data and leveraging analytics to make decisions
- Experience using English communication skills, both written and verbal, to foster seamless interaction with stakeholders at all levels
- 5+ years of Content Strategy, Programming Strategy, and/or Marketing Strategy experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with customer segmentation, profiling, and targeting
- Knowledge of the television and media industry
- Experience in the areas of content strategy, strategic or financial planning and strategy execution, in a global capacity
- Knowledge of Excel at an advanced level
- Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Quick Sight, Tableau, Power BI or other BI packages

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
